VEGGIE CHIC, Hamlyn, September 2006

VEGGIE CHIC, Hamlyn, September 2006

The publisher says: ‘Vegetarian cooking goes glam in this collection of beautiful recipes all perfect for entertaining. Rose Elliot, Britain’s best-loved vegetarian writer, brings you 100 inspirational recipes, all with the wow factor. Whether you’re planning an elegant celebration meal or want to whip up something for an impromptu gathering with friends, whatever you cook is guaranteed to impress!

Rose says: ‘I really enjoyed writing this book and we ate extremely well while I was doing so. I love cooking but I like quick results, so the recipes are not difficult or time-consuming to make but have a ‘twist’ which makes them different. My daughter tested many of them for me and produced excellent results. Some of my favourite recipes from the book are featured in the recipe section: Hot Pomegranate and Pecan leafy Salad, Squash with Moroccan Stuffing, Individual Pea, Spinach and Mint Pithiviers, Berry Skewers with White Chocolate Sauce, and the recipe which has since become the birthday cake of choice in our family, Lemon and Almond Drizzle Cake with Berries.’

'Veggie Chic is Rose Elliot at her best -- frivolous, daring, sophisticated. Fantastic.' THE VEGETARIAN
